Energy Efficient Homes Package

The Australian Government's billion Energy Efficient Homes Package seeks to improve the energy efficiency rating of Australian homes. This is the largest home energy efficiency measure ever to be undertaken in Australia.

Ceiling insulation is an integral part of this Package and includes insulation up to the value of:

• $1,200 through the Homeowner Insulation Program.
• $1,200 through the Low Emission Assistance Plan for Renters.

Up to 2.9 million homes will benefit from this offer, creating jobs in insulation manufacturing, distribution and installation. Both insulation offers target homes with very little or no existing ceiling insulation.

This practical step will help households reduce their energy use, cut their power bills by around $200 a year, and increase the comfort and value of their homes. Guidelines for the these elements of the package are available for download or by calling the free hotline on 1800 808 571.
